PowerTech provides engineering and staking services for both rural and urban
distribution systems. We have been involved in the construction of hundreds of miles of
electrical distribution lines in all parts of the country. Our distribution services
center around electrical engineers and trained field representatives who provide expert
line staking services for overhead, underground, and submarine lines. We are familiar with
construction requirements for Grades B and C construction as well as strength requirements
and code clearances for all voltage levels. In short, PowerTech offers complete
engineering services for distribution systems.

Included in the above services are underbuild staking for transmission lines, joint use
staking for communications circuits, railroad and limited access highway crossings
(including permits), and D. O. T. encroachment projects. We also help utilities maintain
their systems by performing operations and maintenance (O & M) surveys.
PowerTechs distribution department knowledge and expertise covers the design of
new distribution lines, upgrades, highway relocations, right-of-way acquisition, work
order inspection and permit acquisition.
PowerTechs distribution services cover the design of concrete, steel and wood
structures directly embedded, set in steel caissons or set on concrete caisson
foundations.
In addition to detail designs, PowerTech's construction-related services include but
are not limited to system planning, preparation of contract documents, bid evaluation,
construction monitoring, final inspection, and closeout documents.
